Nebraska’s minimum wage to increase Jan. 1

OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - Nebraska’s minimum wage will increase Jan. 1 following an intiative that was passed by voters in November of 2022.

The minimum wage will increase from $13.50 per hour to $15 per hour.

Beginning in 2027, the minimum wage will increase each year based on the cost-of-living increase.

The minimum hourly wage for tipped employees is $2.13 per hour. Employers are responsible for ensuring that wages and tips combined equal at least the minimum wage.
