The dates of solar and lunar eclipses in 2026 have been announced, the Shamakhi Astrophysical Observatory named after Nasreddin Tusi told APA.

It was noted that in 2026, two solar and two lunar eclipses will be observed.

“The first eclipse of the year will occur on February 17. This will be an annular solar eclipse. The next eclipse will be recorded on March 3, when a total lunar eclipse will be observed. On August 12, a total solar eclipse will take place. The last eclipse of the year will occur on August 28, and it will be observed as a partial lunar eclipse,” the statement said.
