NC State sent shockwaves throughout the college football recruiting world Monday when it landed Fairhope (Ala.) St. Michael quarterback and Wolfpack legacy Gunner Rivers.

The 6-foot-3 1/2, 205-pound signal-caller, who's the son of State legend Philip Rivers, is the fourth commitment in the Pack's 2027 recruiting class -- and one of the biggest in  program history.
